About the role

We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator to join our dynamic team at iCrescendo INC.'. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's cloud infrastructure on the GCP platform. You will work closely with our development and IT teams to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud-based systems and applications.

What you'll be doing

  1. Administer and monitor the GCP environment, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and other cloud services including Big Query, BigTable and Compute Engine
  2. Implement and maintain security policies, access controls, and compliance measures to protect our cloud infrastructure
  3. Automate and optimise cloud resource management and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Google Cloud SDK
  4. Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-based solutions and applications
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
  6. Continuously monitor and analyse cloud usage, costs, and performance metrics to optimise and improve the cloud environment
  7. Provide technical guidance and training to team members on GCP best practices and emerging technologies

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in administering and managing cloud infrastructure, preferably on the Google Cloud Platform
  2. Strong knowledge of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Networking, and Cloud Identity & Access Management
  3. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud SDK
  4. Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
  5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Experience in implementing security best practices and compliance measures in cloud environments
  7. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
