Job description

Cartrack is looking for a
hands-on Finance Manager
with a strong
audit foundation (Big 4 or mid-tier)
and solid
commercial finance experience
. This role is ideal for candidates who started their career in audit, understand controls and compliance deeply, and now want to
own the full finance function
while growing their leadership capability.

You will lead a
team of 5 finance staff
and be fully responsible for end-to-end finance operations, reporting, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the full month-end and year-end closing process
    , ensuring all financial close activities are completed
    accurately and on time
    in accordance with reporting deadlines
  • Prepare and review
    monthly and annual financial statements
    , journal entries, accounting schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead, coach, and develop a
    team of 5 finance staff
    , ensuring strong accounting discipline and timely delivery
  • Oversee
    end-to-end finance operations
    , including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, taxation, and cash flow
  • Apply strong
    audit and internal control principles
    to ensure compliance with Group policies and local statutory requirements
  • Partner with business stakeholders to provide
    commercial insights, financial guidance, and capital allocation support
  • Act as the main point of contact for
    external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers
  • Drive
    process improvements and standardisation
    , including initiatives to improve close timelines and reporting accuracy
  • Support ad-hoc finance and accounting assignments as required

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
    or equivalent professional qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in
    Accountancy, Finance, or a quantitative discipline
  • Minimum
    5 years of relevant experience
    , with a background in
    Big 4 / mid-tier audit and subsequent commercial exposure
  • Candidates with
    4–5 years of audit experience at Senior or Manager level
    are encouraged to apply
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring a
    finance team
  • Strong hands-on experience across
    AR, AP, GL, and financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in
    Microsoft Excel
    with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of
    spoken and written English
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and able to work independently
  • Strong ownership mindset and desire to
    grow into broader finance leadership
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team player
