  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Related Field
  • 1-3+ years in packaging environment, high volume consumer goods enviroment preferred

  • Proficiency with CAD modeling and drafting (i.e. AutoCAD/DraftSight, ProE, Solidworks)
  • Knowledge in MS Office ( MS Office: Excel, Word, Power Point.)
  • Solid organization, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute within a multi-functional and multi nationial team environment.
  • Creative, highly motivated self-driven indvidual with demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • DESIGN: Collaborate with suppliers to design and improve packaging for all parts of the product packaging, clear pack, cardboard, foam, etc. Make 2D drawings when required which would include all dimensions, specification and testing requirements that packaging components must meet to protect and display the product per customer CTQs.
  • TESTING: Write test plans and test requests for evaluation of package designs to insure packaging meets all customer CTQs and industry standards (ISTA). Analyze test reports and collaborate with suppliers and quality to resolve test failures.
  • COST IMPROVEMENT: Identify savings opportunities and support supplier packaging product moves. Analyze all brand packaging for standardization opportunities.
  • DOCUMENTATION: Create and maintain packaging documentation file including brand, part numbers, material, dimensions, labels, label content & placement, product pack out details, pallet layout and other necessary details.
  • COMMUNICATION: Collaborate with suppliers, customers, operations, NPI, quality, documentation regarding all aspects of packaging.
