Plant Engineer

- Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in PV modules, inverters, combiner boxes, and other electrical components.
- Monitor system performance through SCADA or solar monitoring platforms, and respond to alarms or performance drops.
- Conduct thermal imaging, I-V curve testing, and insulation resistance tests to assess component health.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs, test reports, and O&M documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors and equipment suppliers for warranty claims and spare part replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and local electrical codes during maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support during plant outages, upgrades, and performance optimization tasks.
- Support the development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for solar O&M.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in solar PV system maintenance or electrical system servicing.
- Strong understanding of PV system architecture, inverters, and BOS (Balance of System) components.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools, electrical testing equipment (multimeter, insulation tester, thermal camera, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and technical manuals.
- Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) or Registered Master Electrician (RME) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and perform physical inspections.
