Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Preparation: Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources (ex. databases, spreadsheets, APIs) to ensure accuracy and consistency for reporting.
  • Report Development: Design, develop, and implement recurring and ad-hoc reports and interactive dashboards using business intelligence tools (ex. Tableau, Power BI, Google Looker Studio, Excel).
  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance metrics, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Visualization & Presentation: Create compelling and intuitive data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department leads, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Maintain & Optimize: Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of all reports. Continuously seek opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve existing reporting processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting processes, data definitions, and report logic.
  • Ad-hoc Requests: Respond to specific data and reporting requests as needed, providing timely and accurate information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a reporting, business intelligence, or data analyst role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) is essential.
  • Experience with at least one major Business Intelligence (BI) tool (ex. Tableau, Power BI, Google Looker Studio, Qlik Sense).
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
