
Credit Coordinator

Position Summary:
Responsible for managing and collecting payments from assigned accounts. Reviews delinquent accounts, sends reminders, and follows up on overdue payments. Prepares and processes collection and adjustment letters, handles payment discrepancies, and coordinates resolution of disputes. Ensures timely collection of past-due receivables and maintains accurate account records.
Major Responsibilities:
- Handle and collect payments from transactional and strategic accounts.
- Conduct outbound/inbound calls and send emails or faxes to follow up on past due invoices.
- Send statements of account and reminders to customers.
- Identify and escalate disputes to the appropriate resolver or department.
- Prepare regular reports (weekly aging, daily cash collection, utilization, top past dues, and month-end reports).
- Coordinate with the Cash Application Team for payment details and adjustments.
- Maintain and update customer account information in the system.
- Record all collection activities accurately in the system.
- Review delinquent accounts and recommend credit hold when necessary.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Claims, and Returns teams to resolve customer disputes.
- Encourage customers to apply available credits to open invoices.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve payment issues.
- Perform account reconciliation and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Inform management and US counterparts of any cash flow issues or payment disputes.
- Perform other related or ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (CPA not required).
- At least 1 year of experience in credit and collections within a B2B environment.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word,and other MS Office applications.
- Experience using Oracle/SAP systemis an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills(foreign language proficiency is a plus).
- Willing to work on a night shift(9:00 PM–6:00 AM, Monday to Friday).
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
