The Credit & Collection Officer will play a key role in safeguarding the company's financial health by managing credit assessments, monitoring receivables, and ensuring timely collection of payments. This role supports the Accounting & Finance team by maintaining accurate records, coordinating with clients, and ensuring smooth financial operations.

Credit Management

  • Recommend credit limits and payment terms based on company policies.
  • Coordinate with the Sales and Finance teams regarding client credit status.

Collection Management

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Communicate with clients regarding overdue invoices, payment concerns, and reconciliation issues.
  • Prepare collection letters, statements of account, and payment reminders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and updated customer payment records.
  • Prepare regular AR aging reports, collection performance reports, and delinquency analyses.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to receivables.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and internal controls.
  • Assist in the improvement of credit and collection processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in credit evaluation and collections (experience in a solar, energy, or utility industry is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and receivables management.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Netsuite).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under minimal supervision.
