The Facilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing a variety of facilities engineering projects, operational work and other engineering related activities directed towards effective and efficient delivery of all facilities engineering related installations and maintenance depending on the area of assignment whether in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, architectural, auxiliary, and civil work. The incumbent takes charge of all incoming and ongoing construction works and preventive maintenance schedules and may be assigned to manage and oversee the Engineering stockroom for efficient flow of spare parts and materials. S/He ensures compliance to all operational safety standards and practices during the project design and implementation.

Additionally, s/he coordinates with other departments and/or service providers for the scheduling and implementation of these projects; also coordinates with the Facilities Engineering Manager and Facilities and Property Management Manager for major concerns and issues that may occur within the project or within the work area for its immediate resolution.

Qualifications

  1. A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  2. Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer
  3. A minimum of one to two (1-2) years of relevant work experience
  4. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  5. With a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and civil works.
  6. Capable of doing designs using the latest version of AutoCAD.
  7. Experience in the repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment is an advantage.
  8. Demonstrated understanding of basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  9. Effective communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate well in English is an advantage.
