Job Description

As a Civil Project Engineer, you will lead structural design for solar infrastructure projects, focusing on steel and concrete systems. You'll support project planning, coordination, and technical execution, ensuring high-quality outputs across all stages of development while contributing to engineering standards and renewable energy goals.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in solar structure design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technical Proficiency:

  • Structural Design: LPile, Mathcad, Excel (Must Have)
  • Drafting and plan development: AutoCAD, Civil 3D (Must Have)
  • Data interoperability and layout planning: Excel-AutoCAD integration
  • Document and plan review: Bluebeam Revu, ProjectWise
  • Codes & standards: ASCE 7, IBC, ACI 318, AISC Manual
  • Tracker system design: Nextracker / Array Technologies
  • Reporting & presentation: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint

Ideal Candidate:

  • Technically proficient, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within a team

Your Daily Tasks

  • Perform routine and complex structural designs, including:
  • Steel piles and steel connections
  • Cast-in-place concrete slabs
  • Interpret and apply general renewable energy terminology and practices
  • Support the development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Assist in project management, coordination, and execution of tasks
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and proposal development
