JOB SUMMARY:

The R&D Manager (BSFI Cebu) is responsible for leading and managing the Research and Development team in Cebu, overseeing the complete spectrum of R&D activities including formulation development, process development, packaging development, and cost-saving initiatives. The manager is also instrumental in generating new ideas for retail innovations and contributing to ideation sessions for both BPlus, BSFI and CTGI. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in food product development within the food manufacturing industry.

· Previous experience managing R&D projects and leading a team of R&D practitioners.

· Knowledge of food regulations, quality control systems, and product commercialization processes.

6. Claims Development and Selling Story Innovations:

· Develop and substantiate compelling product claims that differentiate products in the competitive market.

· Craft engaging and persuasive selling stories to support marketing and sales efforts.

7. Project Management and Execution:

· Plan and manage R&D projects to ensure timely delivery, alignment with strategic initiatives, and adherence to budget constraints.

· Monitor progress and performance through regular reporting and feedback loops.

8. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment:

· Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure coherent product development and go-to-market strategies.

· Ensure all R&D activities adhere to relevant regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to inform R&D strategy.

· Contribute to long-term planning to ensure the company's product offerings remain competitive and aligned with consumer needs.
