Job Summary

The Financial Reporting & Tax Associate supports the finance function in financial reporting, audit, and tax compliance activities. The role is responsible for preparing financial statements and their supporting working papers, assisting in various audits, and supporting tax computations and BIR filings. This position requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare complete and accurate financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
• Prepare and maintain financial statement working papers, schedules, and reconciliations
• Ensure proper tie-up of trial balance, general ledger, and financial statements
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to financial reporting
• Support preparation of notes to financial statements and management schedules

Audit Support

• Assist in audits, including internal, external, BIR, and other regulatory or special audits
• Prepare audit schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation
• Respond to audit inquiries and assist in resolving audit findings
• Coordinate with auditors and consultants to ensure timely completion of audit requirements

Tax Compliance

• Assist in tax computations and reconciliation of accounting and taxable income
• Prepare and support filing of BIR returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
• Assist in preparation of annual income tax returns, alphalists, and other statutory tax requirements
• Support tax audits and compliance reviews as needed

Documentation & Controls

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of financial records
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing of working papers and reports
• Comply with internal policies, deadlines, and confidentiality requirements
• Support continuous improvement of reporting and compliance processes

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
• Open to newly licensed CPAs or CPAs with relevant experience
• Strong knowledge and understanding of PFRS
• Working knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR regulations

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid work arrangement, subject to business requirements, audit schedules, and management guidelines
• Onsite presence may be required during audit periods, deadlines, or critical reporting activities
