Financial Transactions & Record Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by establishing and updating accounts.

  • Ensure consistent and timely data entry in Xero, including correct GST treatment of transactions and accurate Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation.

  • Develop and implement bookkeeping policies and procedures, including maintaining a structured chart of accounts.

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage financial transactions including transfers, withdrawals, and deposits.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare Annual Financial Reports and assist with annual tax returns for companies and trusts.

  • Generate monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets.

  • Understand basic Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) concepts and assist in the preparation of FBT Returns.

Accounts Receivable & Payable Management

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payments.

  • Resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies effectively and promptly.

  • Prepare invoices using Xero or other accounting platforms as required.

Payroll Management & Budgeting

  • Process employee timesheets and payroll, including PAYGW via Xero or client-specified HR platforms.

  • Submit and finalize Single Touch Payroll (STP) reports.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursement and compliance.

  • Manage Xero Automatic Superannuation payments and understand Australian super requirements.

  • Collaborate with management to prepare budgets and develop cash flow forecasts to support planning and payment schedules.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of junior bookkeepers and CPA students, encouraging professional development and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with an Australian CPA for mentorship and financial quality assurance.

  • Maintain historical financial records for audit readiness and compliance.

Zoho Projects Coordination

  • Monitor and manage ongoing projects and tasks using Zoho Projects.

  • Assist in the implementation and customization of Zoho Projects workflows to align with company financial and operational objectives.

  • Generate project reports to support finance-related analysis and planning.

Philippines Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other local government agency requirements.

  • Prepare and file income tax returns, financial statements, and other reports ahead of deadlines.

  • Conduct month-end closing procedures with high accuracy and completeness.

SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG Responsibilities

  • SSS Online Portal: Ensure accurate employee data, timely payment of contributions, and accurate salary deductions for loans.

  • PhilHealth Online Portal: Validate monthly contributions and ensure correct payslip deductions.

  • Pag-IBIG Online Portal: Monitor and manage monthly contributions and employee loans, ensuring deductions align with statements.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

  • Handle and update business registration documents and related SEC filings.

Requirements

  • Xero Certified Advisor (Preferred).

  • CPA Accreditation in the Philippines is an advantage.

  • Proven experience with Xero and financial transaction management.

  • At least 2 years of experience working for an Australian company.

  • Proficient in preparing financial statements, payroll, and regulatory reports for both Australian and Philippine compliance.

  • Familiarity with Zoho Projects is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Willing and able to work onsite at our office in BGC, Taguig City.
