The Opportunity

We are seeking a Safety Officer to join the dynamic team at FAXCABLE INC.'. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees in our Mandaluyong City Metro Manila location. This full-time role is an integral part of our Human Resources & Recruitment department, with a focus on Occupational Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Provide safety training and education to employees to increase awareness and compliance
  • Investigate and document all workplace incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on the company's safety performance
  • Collaborate with management to ensure the company meets all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Stay up to date with changes in occupational health and safety legislation and best practices

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant degree or certification: Safety Officer 2 (SO2), with BOSH or COSH certification.
  • With experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to identify and address safety concerns
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to collect and interpret safety data
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to promoting a positive safety culture
