Farm Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Feed and Supplies Management

  • Monitor daily feed consumption per herd or batch
  • Maintain inventory of feeds, vitamins, farm supplies
  • Record delivery, usage, and balance of feed stocks
  • Coordinate feed purchases and deliveries with suppliers
  • Assist in ensuring feed quality and proper storage

Expense Recording and Reporting

  • Record daily farm expenses such as feed, medicine, labor, fuel, maintenance
  • Prepare weekly expense summaries for management review
  • Maintain receipts, invoices, petty cash records
  • Coordinate with accounting department for accurate cost tracking and budget control

Livestock Monitoring Support

  • Assist in maintaining animal records - birth, sales, vaccination, mortality
  • Monitor and report on animal health and weight gain progress
  • Support veterinary or technical personnel during treatment, weighing and tagging

Farm Operations Coordination

  • Supervise or assist in daily routines such as feeding, cleaning and pasture maintenance
  • Coordinate with farmhands on schedules, supplies, operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with farm sanitation, safety and animal welfare standards

Documentation and Administrative Support

  • Keep updated records of farm inputs, production, operating logs
  • Prepare periodic farm performance and cost reports
  • File all farm related documentation in an organized manner

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Agriculture, Agribusiness or Animal Science or any related field
  • Min. 1 year experience in farm operations is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of feed formulation, animal husbandry and inventory management
  • Record keeping experience is a plus
  • Willing to work onsite in farm conditions and perform hand on support work
