Associate Enterprise Architect

The responsibilities associated with the position include:

Enterprise Architecture Planning and Design

• Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state), as well as end-to-end processes, to determine corresponding system solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
• Develops and maintains the Enterprise Architecture diagrams and artifacts such as business process, data models, technology diagrams.
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of the integration principles, guidelines, standards, and patterns in alignment with the enterprise architecture vision.
• Evaluates the design and implementation of technology solutions to ensure seamless and effective integration within existing infrastructure.
• Performs an analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement. In addition, analyzes the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise, as well as on the enterprise infrastructure architecture.
• Provides analysis and evaluation to support integration investment recommendations, ensuring alignment with targeted business outcomes.
• Works in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure that enterprise architecture initiatives and solutions support the requirements of line organizations and deliver identified business value.
• Provides guidance to internal stakeholders on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to support targeted business outcomes.

Enterprise Architecture Governance

• Assists in the planning, development, monitoring, and maintenance of the enterprise architecture tool.
• Assists in managing technology standards from its development, periodic review, trend monitoring and scanning, POC and evaluation, periodic release, and creation of programs and projects to implement the changes (invest, maintain, contain, disinvest).

d. Possesses the following technical knowledge/skills/abilities:

• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments
• Knowledge of various aspects of an enterprise technology architecture like business, information, data, network and security.
• Preferably with deep knowledge in the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, servers and storage, database management and operations, clustering technologies, virtualization, cloud technologies and active directory and protocols.
• Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
• Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls.
• Excellent understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture.
• Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
• Solid understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt.
• Experience in developing architecture diagrams, strategies and roadmaps.

Experience:

• At least 2-3 years
  of relevant experience as a technical SME and with experience in a technology lead/technical management capacity
• Relevant Experience in business process and data modeling and analysis and design tools
• Relevant certification is a plus but not required (i.e., program/technology-specific certifications)
• Experience in a relevant industry (i.e., utilities or energy sector) and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards is a plus but not required

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
• Six Sigma green belt or black belt certification (preferred)
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience as a technical SME
