Reports to: VP for Operations / General Manager
Job Summary:
The Mall Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, administration, and profitability of the mall. This includes managing tenant relations, supervising maintenance and security teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Mall Manager plays a key leadership role in maintaining the mall's reputation, optimizing performance, and achieving business objectives through strategic planning and effective day-to-day management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
- Oversee all aspects of mall operations, including facilities management, housekeeping, security, parking, and tenant services.
- Ensure that all systems and facilities are functioning efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and local regulations.
- Monitor preventive maintenance programs in coordination with engineering and technical teams.
- Manage emergency preparedness, safety protocols, and crisis response plans.
2. Tenant Relations and Leasing Support
- Foster strong relationships with tenants to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with leasing teams on tenant fit-out, store openings, and space improvements.
- Address tenant concerns promptly and ensure contractual obligations are met.
3. Financial and Business Management
- Prepare, manage, and monitor the mall's operating budget, expenses, and revenue targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional events that drive foot traffic and sales.
4. Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and develop the operations team, including administration, maintenance, and customer service staff.
- Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and promote a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Coordinate with other departments (Marketing, Leasing, Engineering, Finance) to ensure smooth mall operations.
5. Customer and Community Engagement
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all shoppers and visitors.
- Handle customer feedback and implement service improvements.
- Strengthen the mall's image by supporting community programs and brand-building activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in mall operations, property management, or facilities administration (supervisory or managerial level preferred).
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Sound understanding of building systems, maintenance, and business operations.
- Financial management and budgeting skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Other: Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules as mall operations require.
Work Environment:
The Mall Manager operates primarily within the mall premises, balancing administrative office work with on-site supervision and tenant coordination.
