Job Summary:

The Leasing Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing leasing opportunities to ensure maximum occupancy and revenue generation for the mall. This includes prospecting new tenants, negotiating lease terms, maintaining strong tenant relations, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth store openings and operations. The Leasing Officer serves as a key representative of the mall's brand, ensuring that the tenant mix supports both profitability and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Leasing and Tenant Acquisition

  • Actively source and attract potential tenants that align with the mall's target market and tenant mix strategy.
  • Conduct market research to identify leasing opportunities and monitor retail trends.
  • Present available spaces to prospective tenants and promote mall advantages and amenities.
  • Negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and contract renewals in coordination with management.

2. Lease Administration and Documentation

  • Prepare and process lease offers, contracts, renewals, and other leasing-related documents.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of contracts.
  • Maintain updated records of lease agreements, tenant information, and space inventory.

3. Tenant Relations and Coordination

  • Build and maintain good relationships with existing and prospective tenants.
  • Assist tenants during the fit-out process and ensure compliance with mall standards and schedules.
  • Address tenant concerns promptly and coordinate with operations and marketing teams to support tenant needs.

4. Market Research and Reporting

  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to track rental rates, tenant trends, and new developments in the market.
  • Provide management with periodic reports on occupancy rates, rental income, and leasing performance.
  • Recommend strategies to improve space utilization and attract high-performing tenants.

5. Marketing and Business Development Support

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote available spaces through events, campaigns, and digital platforms.
  • Participate in mall promotions and leasing events to generate leads and strengthen mall visibility.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or any related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in property leasing, retail management, or sales (experience in malls or commercial real estate is an advantage).
  • Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good understanding of market dynamics, retail trends, and customer behavior.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Goal-oriented, persuasive, and customer-focused.
  • Other: Willing to work on weekends, holidays, or extended hours as mall operations require.
