We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Finance Officer to support the finance team in day-to-day accounting, reporting, and treasury tasks. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and receivable: Process invoices, expense claims, vendor payments, and customer invoices; monitor ageing and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • General ledger: Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate subsidiary ledgers.
  • Banking and cash management: Prepare bank reconciliations, manage petty cash, and support cash flow monitoring.
  • Month-end close: Assist in month-end and year-end close activities, prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Financial reporting: Prepare routine financial reports and assist with management reporting and variance analysis.
  • Compliance and controls: Ensure transactions comply with company policies and regulatory requirements; support internal and external audits.
  • Payroll and statutory filings (if applicable): Support payroll preparation and statutory remittances or coordinate with payroll provider.
  • Process improvement: Suggest and help implement improvements to finance processes and systems.
  • Ad hoc tasks: Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, special projects, and other requests from the finance manager.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 0–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience (entry-to-mid level).

  • Numerical accuracy: High attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical ability.
