As a Senior Financial Architect - FP&A, your mission is to construct and fortify our financial framework, ensuring a robust and sustainable future. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be the lead in shaping our financial reporting, planning, and analytical endeavors. Your expertise in financial modeling, system enhancement, and project leadership will be the cornerstone of our strategic financial initiatives. This role offers a comprehensive view of our financial landscape, where your insights and contributions will directly influence our growth and success.
Scope & Responsibilities:
- Designing Financial Foundations: Working closely with our Accounting and Controllership team during month-end processes, you will be instrumental in preparing our Financial Reporting Blueprints (AASB15), ensuring structural integrity through rigorous quality checks, and meticulously documenting any design challenges. Your analysis of variances and trends will provide the essential insights needed to identify strengths and areas for improvement in our financial structure.
- Mapping Revenue Growth: You will lead the creation of our Revenue Roadmaps, Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) Projections, and Committed ARR Forecasts. Your detailed analysis of revenue across various segments (Customer, Product, Channel, Cohort, etc.) will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial growth plans.
- Cultivating Client Value: By analyzing contract values and identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and customer retention, you will play a key role in nurturing strong client relationships and minimizing attrition. Your understanding of customer and contract dynamics will be vital in shaping our client engagement strategies.
- Building Sales Insights: You will analyze sales activities and pipeline data within Salesforce, enhancing our reporting capabilities and forecasting future opportunities to fuel our growth trajectory.
- Providing Strategic Guidance: Regularly preparing comprehensive reports, summaries, and insightful commentaries derived from your expert data analysis, you will provide the guidance needed for informed decision-making across the organization.
- Architecting Consulting Performance: You will build and maintain our Consulting Dashboard, providing insightful analysis of consulting revenue and continuously improving this vital tool as our service offerings expand.
- Creating Visual Frameworks: Designing and maintaining visually appealing and informative financial dashboards, models, and workbooks with clear visualizations to communicate complex financial information effectively.
- Analyzing Industry Landscapes: You will analyze financial trends and key metrics within the software and SaaS/subscription industries, benchmarking our client's financial performance against the broader market to identify best practices and opportunities.

- Ensuring Profitability and Efficiency: Calculating Standard Cost Rates and Gross Margins, performing detailed profit margin analysis, and conducting cost categorization to enhance operational efficiency.
- Becoming a NetSuite Project Expert: You will develop in-depth expertise in the Project Management module within NetSuite to effectively manage and analyze project financials.
- Overseeing Project Financial Health: Analyzing and reporting on project revenue and expenditure, as well as gross margin performance, to ensure project success and profitability.
- Contributing to Long-Term Vision: Participating in the development of our client's 5-year financial and business plan, providing the financial insights needed to shape our long-term strategic direction.
- Maintaining Performance Scorecards: Developing and maintaining our organizational Balance Scorecard to track key performance indicators and drive accountability across the company.
- Evaluating Investment Potential: Conducting financial impact analyses on potential investments and calculating Return on Investment (ROI) to guide strategic capital allocation decisions.
- Performing Strategic Scenario Planning: Developing and executing "what-if" and scenario analyses to provide valuable decision support to business unit leaders and C-level stakeholders in navigating potential future scenarios.
- Generating Actionable Insights: Gathering and analyzing financial, operational, and commercial data to generate actionable insights and effectively communicating these insights to drive performance improvement.
- Supporting Executive Communication: Assisting the CFO in preparing compelling slide decks for internal and external presentations, board meetings, and team updates.
- Championing Process Improvement: Contributing to business process improvement initiatives by reviewing existing methodologies and identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participating in System Advancement: Contributing to the evaluation of current systems and actively participating in system implementation and enhancement projects to optimize our financial infrastructure.
- Forecasting Financial Flow: Developing and maintaining accurate cash flow forecasts to ensure the financial stability and liquidity of the organization.
- Implementing Efficiency Measures: Identifying and executing cost-saving strategies, improving procurement activities, and negotiating with suppliers to optimize expenditures.
- Leading Special Financial Initiatives: Completing assigned tasks and special financial projects as directed by the FP&A Manager.
- Ensuring Quality and Precision: Maintaining the highest standards of quality control for all your financial deliverables.
- Contributing to Team Growth: Participating in long-term team development and succession planning initiatives within the finance function.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- MBA Qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in the finance and accounting field, with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS.
- A minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in a similar FP&A role.
- Prior experience within the software industry FP&A is highly desired, with a preference for experience in Subscription-based or SaaS companies.
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite is highly desired.
- Experience with Salesforce is highly desired.
- Previous experience working in an international business organization is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in an environment where finance functions as a strategic business partner with Business Units in a results-driven culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong entrepreneurial drive with a proactive, self-starting, and results-oriented approach; proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills in financial reporting and analysis, coupled with a solid foundation in accounting principles and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with a demonstrated ability to build complex financial models and create and maintain sophisticated financial dashboards. Expertise in other Microsoft Office Suite applications (Access, PowerPoint, and Word). Advanced-level Power BI experience is preferred.
