Job Description
As a
Data Analyst - Procurement,
you will transform complex datasets into insights that elevate sourcing strategies. You'll analyze supplier performance, build dashboards, track KPIs, support negotiations, and deliver reporting that empowers smarter, more efficient decision-making across the organization.

The Qualifications We Seek
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
in
Data Science, Statistics, Math, Economics, Computer Science
, or related field
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and passion for working with data
Other Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts or predictive analytics
- Understanding of business KPIs and data-driven decision-making
- Experience using Microsoft Teams
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Ability to create data-driven reporting in a timely manner
- Ability to shift priorities as needed

Your Daily Tasks
- Identify opportunities with low-cost suppliers through item analysis and monthly item recommendations for purchases; review identified items with management.
- Conduct data mining to determine new items to present to low-cost suppliers or recommend for lower costs from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
- Document and present supplier increases and potential annual impact using data from suppliers and buyers; present this information to management.
- Create a detailed action plan for procurement agents to negotiate increases with suppliers.
- Identify probable suppliers to have increased growth within the calendar year; once identified, provide information to management.
- Clean up and consolidate historical data files for easier access and use by the team.
- Create a file that shows all distributed suppliers with pertinent information (Partner Program, previous names, spend by year, increase frequency, etc.).
- Create a "next up" list for each level of the Partner Programs based on PH sales and supplier increases.
- Provide analytical support for sourcing initiatives, RFPs, and supplier negotiations.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve sourcing strategies and supplier management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align data insights with business goals.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across procurement systems and reporting tools.
Other Job Duties and Responsibilities - KPIs
- Deliver monthly supplier, item number, and quantity recommendations that meet or exceed prior year savings or cost avoidance totals by month.
- Increase the amount of items identified for cost savings or cost avoidance by 10% annually.
- Create a roadmap for price negotiations for each new supplier increase each week based on impact of the increase, percentage of the increase, historical price changes, comparable supplier increases, etc.
- Identify and document reasons why suppliers should be promoted in Partner Programs and/or be eligible for growth rebates within the first six months of the calendar year.
