Japan Home Centre is looking for a Buyer

Job Description:

  • Review and manage product assortment, pricing, and performance for assigned departments.
  • Plan, select, and purchase merchandise from local and international suppliers.
  • Conduct market research and sales analysis to align product offerings with customer demand and trends.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and optimizing supplier terms.
  • Oversee product sourcing, stock flow, and the timely delivery of goods from suppliers to stores.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate product information, proper documentation, and smooth procurement processes.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or procurement, preferably in the retail or trading industry.
  • Experience in supplier management and product sourcing (both local and international) is an advantage.
  • Background in importation processes and house brand/product development is preferred.
