A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a licensed financial professional who prepares and analyzes financial records, conducts audits, provides tax and advisory services, and ensures compliance with financial laws and regulations. A CPA's core duties involve managing budgets, creating financial statements, filing tax returns, and offering expert advice to individuals and businesses to improve financial health and achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Preparing, reviewing, and certifying financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Auditing: Conducting both internal and external audits to assess financial records, identify risks, and ensure accuracy.
  • Tax Services: Preparing and filing tax returns, providing tax planning, and representing clients before tax authorities.
  • Financial Analysis & Advice: Analyzing financial documents, tracking expenses and profits, and providing recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and strategic financial planning.
  • Budgeting: Collaborating with management to establish and manage company budgets.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Staying updated on current accounting standards, industry trends, tax laws, and other regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Financial Record Management: Organizing, updating, and maintaining physical and digital financial records.
  • Client Representation: Communicating financial status and findings to management and individual clients through reports and meetings.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Analytical Skills: The ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office, and potentially AI and robotics process automation tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in checking financial statements for inaccuracies and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain complex financial information to clients and management.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local, state, and federal accounting and tax laws.
  • Business Acumen: Strategic thinking to advise on spending, risk assessment, and financial forecasting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php60,000.00 per month
