Job Description

Position Title: Internal Audit Associate

Office/Location: Head Office

Reports To: Internal Audit Officer / Division Head

Division: Internal Audit Division

Job Purpose

The Internal Audit Associate is responsible for conducting financial and operational audits, preparing audit reports, and identifying areas for improvement to ensure effective internal controls and compliance with cooperative policies. This role supports risk assessment, audit documentation, and report preparation in line with internal auditing standards.


Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive and efficient audit programs with clear objectives aligned with cooperative policies.
  • Conduct thorough audit procedures and testing, ensuring accurate documentation and sufficient audit evidence.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required for audit documentation and data analysis.
  • Prepare detailed audit workpapers and flowcharts to support audit conclusions.
  • Draft and present clear, concise, and well-organized audit reports that highlight key findings and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate initiative and apply professional judgment to ensure timely completion of audit tasks.
  • Stay updated on audit standards and cooperative industry practices by attending relevant trainings.
  • Handle email and phone inquiries related to audit and administrative concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Actively participate in cooperative activities, initiatives, and programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, or any related field.
  • Preferably with experience in audit or related accounting functions.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for this position.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
