Duties & Responsibilities

  • Audit Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement audit plans for distribution processes including inventory, warehousing, and logistics.

  • Conduct risk assessments and identify control weaknesses across supply chain operations.

  • Inventory & Warehouse Controls

  • Verify accuracy of inventory records and physical stock counts.

  • Assess warehouse layout, storage practices, and safety compliance.
  • Monitor shrinkage, obsolescence, and stock movement efficiency.

  • Logistics & Transportation Oversight

  • Evaluate distribution routes and delivery schedules for cost-effectiveness.

  • Review fuel usage, vehicle maintenance logs, and driver compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation of shipments and returns.

  • Compliance & Regulatory Checks

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry standards, and government regulations.

  • Monitor environmental, health, and safety protocols in distribution centers.

  • Reporting & Recommendations

  • Prepare audit reports with findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.

  • Collaborate with operations and finance teams to implement corrective actions.

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline distribution workflows and reduce operational costs.

  • Support implementation of automation and digital tracking systems.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in internal auditing, preferably in distribution or logistics.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
