QA Automation Tester l WFH

Job Description:

Advocacy Focus:

• Be a SiteTRAX product champion, educating and advocating the value it delivers.

• Identify opportunities to improve usage and uptake by users, and work with the Software Operations Manager, Software Development Manager and Software Product Manager to realize these.

Execution Focus:

• Develop a thorough understanding of the company's existing software SiteTRAX.

• Create, assist, and troubleshoot the development of test automation harnesses, standards, procedures, processes, and best practices related to Test Automation.

• Maintain and guide test automation suites execution and undertake analysis of results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and/or client and technical requirements.

• Review requirements and specifications to define test automated test solutions.

• Take responsibility for integrity of testing and the execution of these activities.

• Provide advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution.

• Develop a working knowledge of SiteTRAX and its utilization by the company.

• Provide SiteTRAX product support to internal and external users/customers.

• Diagnose and resolve user/customer problems, educating users in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.

• Ensure users/customer's requirements are met with a consistently high quality of customer service.

• Ensure that each support issue and resolution is documented in the Company's issue tracking system.

• Ensure users/customers remain informed of progress towards resolution.

• Maintain skills in areas of expertise.

• Investigate and develop skills in new and emerging technologies.

• Work with an Agile delivery team to drive the value of the SiteTRAX product day-to-day.

• Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of the SiteTRAX software suite.

Relationship Focus:

• Develop strong relationships with the Software Operations Manager and Software Development Manager and their team members to provide high levels of service quality to users and customers.

Leadership Focus:

• Foster team-focused culture to maximise collaboration and inclusion.

Collaboration with Offshore Services:

• Confirm that offshore team members have received adequate training and can perform the tasks to the required standards before issuing tasks, if unsure of their relevant competency.

• Conduct appropriate quality checks of the offshore team member's work to ensure their work meets the required standards.

• Provide timely communication to the offshore team members with any changes to their scope of work or changes to procedures relevant to them, as delegated by the Host Employee.

• Monitor and escalate quality, productivity, performance or other issues of offshore team members to the relevant Host Manager and/or Host Employee.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.

• Experience as an Automation Quality Analyst or Software Quality Analyst in an Agile environment.

• Experience with web and mobile applications.

• Experience with a wide range of testing tools / techniques.

• Experience with face-to-face user interaction.

• Proficiency in configuring and using CI/CD solutions.

• A good understanding of Agile development and the role automation plays in CI/CD.

• Defining user story system tests.

• An appreciation of all stages of the software development lifecycle.

• Self-motivated; productive without constant supervision based on character traits of ambition, transparency, dependability and taking initiative when the work pipeline requires it.

• Strong attention to detail; testing is completed to a high standard by using the right tools and processes available.

• Highly adaptable; ability to cooperate with the broader Software Development business unit and ability to change focus based on the Agile working environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with BitBar, SmartBear Test Complete, SmartBear Cross Browser Testing, BlazeMeter, Visual Studio testing tools.

• Experience with Freshdesk or equivalent ticketing system.

• Experience with non-functional testing.
