About the role

As the Tax Compliance Officer at Book Bike Ph', you will play a vital role in ensuring the company's adherence to all applicable tax regulations and laws. In this full-time position based in Socorro Quezon City Metro Manila, you will be responsible for managing the company's tax-related processes and reporting, with the goal of maintaining robust compliance and minimising tax-related risks.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and filing accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and other relevant tax submissions
  2. Monitoring changes in tax legislation and regulations, and updating the company's tax-related policies and procedures accordingly
  3. Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely provision of financial data required for tax reporting
  4. Handling tax audits and inquiries from relevant authorities, and responding to them in a timely and compliant manner
  5. Identifying tax planning opportunities and providing recommendations to management to optimise the company's tax position
  6. Maintaining a comprehensive record-keeping system to support the company's tax compliance efforts
  7. Providing tax-related training and guidance to the finance team and other relevant personnel

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent tax-related certification
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax compliance or tax advisory role, preferably within the Accounting industry
  4. Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in the Philippines
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve tax-related issues
  6. Proficient in the use of tax-related software and tools
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
