Strategic Communication Manager

The manager of strategic communications will lead the organizations communication team and will develop and implement internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the employer brand.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communications
  • Develop and implements policies and procedures for communicating on behalf of the organization that represents the corporate identity and promotes the organization's objective
  • Oversees the workflow and work assignments of the communications team to ensure effective collaboration among team members and consistent, quality work.
  • Seeks new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service and other topics of interest
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to both internal and external stakeholders to further market the brand of the organization
  • Prepares and distributes direct marketing products
  • Represents the company in a variety of settings, always promoting the company in the best possible way
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify the public voice of the brand
  • Create style guides and brand voice outlines for all public relations, marketing, advertising and other vital departments
  • Consult with executive management to develop effective communication procedures and policies for various situations or crises
  • Draft press releases and speeches following organizational news
  • Communicate with media outlets and journalists and create press kits
  • Develop materials to educate staff on communication practices
  • Coach and assist team members on improving communication skill
  • Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies
