We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with at least 8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who has a deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, is highly experienced in building scalable backend systems using Java, and has strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services. You will be working on mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Night shift work is required to align with our global teams and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java-based applications and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, Product Managers, and other developers.
  • Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
  • Apply best practices in software engineering, coding standards, and design patterns.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Design and implement microservices or serverless architectures (preferably on AWS).
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java development.
  • Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design principles.
  • Solid experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SNS, SQS, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Experience in RESTful API development and integrations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Comfortable working in a night shift schedule (to support global operations).
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies or full-stack development.
  • Prior experience in leading technical initiatives or managing small development teams.
