Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Java Developer
to act as a
technical leader and subject matter expert
within our engineering organization. In this role, you will architect, design, and deliver enterprise-scale systems that form the backbone of our business operations. You will play a critical role in shaping the
technical roadmap
, driving innovation, and ensuring scalability, security, and performance across platforms. Beyond development, you will mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and influence strategic technology decisions at the organizational level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the
    architecture, design, and end-to-end development
    of complex distributed systems and microservices.
  • Define, implement, and uphold
    coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices
    across teams.
  • Act as the
    technical authority
    for projects, providing strategic guidance and resolving critical technical challenges.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering
    knowledge sharing, technical growth, and excellence
    .
  • Drive the
    evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies and frameworks
    to address evolving business needs.
  • Lead
    architectural reviews and technical design sessions
    , ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and business leaders to define and execute on the
    technical vision
    .
  • Own initiatives in
    performance optimization, scalability, resiliency, and security hardening
    .

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years
    of experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale Java applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in the
    Spring ecosystem
    (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, etc.).
  • Proven experience building and managing
    microservice architectures
    .
  • Strong expertise in
    database design, data modeling, and performance tuning
    across SQL and NoSQL systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to
    lead technical projects and mentor engineering teams
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    cloud-native architecture
    (preferably AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • In-depth understanding of
    software security principles
    and secure development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification.
  • Experience with
    event-driven architectures
    and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
  • Active contributions to
    open-source projects
    or a public portfolio (GitHub, etc.).
  • Background in
    regulated industries
    (e.g., Finance, Healthcare).
