About the role

The Holiday Plaza Hotel in Cebu City, Cebu is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis. As our Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing the electrical systems throughout our hotel, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely for our guests and staff.

What you'll be doing

  1. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including lighting, power outlets, and electrical equipment
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues and breakdowns in a timely manner
  3. Conducting regular inspections and testing of electrical components and systems
  4. Implementing preventative maintenance measures to minimise disruptions and ensure the longevity of our electrical infrastructure
  5. Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  6. Collaborating with other maintenance and engineering teams to coordinate projects and share best practices
  7. Maintaining detailed records of all electrical work and responding to emergency call-outs as required

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualification in electrical engineering or a relevant trade
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry
  3. Solid understanding of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  4. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications
  5. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex electrical issues
  6. Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and hotel management
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
