DESCRIPTION Junior Coding Specialist:

This position will be responsible for reviewing denied claims for coding-related errors and determining appropriate action. The Junior Coding Specialists will work

closely with the operations team to support billing and coding operations. Payers include but are not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, and commercial health insurance carriers. Duties Include:

  • Read and interpret insurance carrier EOBs

  • Review the account-level detail to determine if the denial is coding-related

  • Review medical reports, verify coding

  • Suggest appropriate coding actions to Senior Coders

  • Research carrier specific coding policies

  • Review and interpret carrier NCD and LCD policies

  • Communicate any coding denial trends to coding manager

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • CPC-A required

  • Strong interest in starting a healthcare coding career

  • Basic understanding of US Health Insurance and Revenue Cycle

  • General knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes

  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance

  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Ability to follow written guidelines and processes

  • Solid communication and teamwork skills

  • Computer proficiency and basic data entry skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month
