About the Role

We are seeking a Human Resource Assistant (Compliance Audit) to perform post-hire personnel file audits, ensure ongoing compliance, and support survey readiness. This role is critical to maintaining state Department of Health and Joint Commission (TJC) standards.

This position is repetitive by design—ideal for someone who thrives on checklists, accuracy, and routine. Your work ensures our teams remain compliant, survey-ready, and focused on delivering quality care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing audits of personnel files (employees, contractors, interns, volunteers).
  • Verify presence and accuracy of licenses, certifications, trainings, and background checks.
  • Maintain a compliance tracker for all expiring items (licenses, CPR, TB, trainings).
  • Send reminders, validate renewals, and file updated documents within deadlines.
  • Escalate noncompliance risks to HR leadership and program managers.
  • Support HR survey readiness, provide audit packets, and close compliance findings.
  • Update HRIS, LMS, and trackers; maintain data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years in HR, compliance, credentialing, or healthcare administration.
  • Strong attention to detail with 100% accuracy mindset.
  • Proficient in HRIS/LMS systems and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strict confidentiality.

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare/behavioral health settings.
  • Familiarity with TJC HR standards and Department of Health requirements.
  • Knowledge of OIG/SAM checks, background screening, and credentialing tools.
