Job Description

As a QA Engineer, you will design, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks while executing manual testing when needed. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable applications that meet our enterprise clients' expectations.

The Qualifications We Seek

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in automation testing using Playwright
• 4+ years of experience in testing web-based applications (manual and automated)
• Strong background in creating and maintaining Playwright automation scripts in TypeScript
• Experience with Selenium (Java) for test automation
• Proven expertise in UI testing and API automation testing using Playwright
• Hands-on experience in browser compatibility testing
• Proficiency in API testing and creating/modifying test cases
• Solid programming fundamentals with ability to write test scripts and perform manual testing as needed
• Skilled in working within a Git-based development environment and using standard work management tools
• Strong attention to detail and deep understanding of user experience quality
• Ability to work with autonomy and ownership, delivering with minimal supervision
• Entrepreneurial mindset-self-directed, innovative, and action-oriented
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate in Agile teams

Preferred Skills:

• AI-assisted automation testing (Cursor or Copilot a plus)
• Load Testing (JMeter preferred)
• SQL (Writing basic queries a plus)
• Jira (a plus)
• Jenkins (Experience executing automation tests with Jenkins a plus)

Your Daily Tasks

Example Tasks/Workflows:

• Feature Delivery: Collaborate with Scrum teams to grasp product requirements, engage with developers on stories, work closely with developers during the coding phase, and write API or browser-based automation in parallel.

How Success is Measured:

• Success is measured based on tracking the test cases, achieving good automation coverage, following best practices, writing secure code, minimal bugs, cross-team collaboration, and responsiveness.

Required Proficiencies:

• Leverage the latest test automation technologies to ensure comprehensive code coverage for existing and new products.
• Work with our product team to iterate on designs and user experience flows.
• Work as part of an independent, cross-functional squad to deliver critical client-facing and admin portal features across the organization.
• Build test automation that promotes engineering maturity and efficiency. Testing is very important to us.
