Summary

You'll set up security tools, find and fix risks, respond to incidents, and help the team stay secure and compliant.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage firewalls, antivirus, and monitoring tools
  • Check systems for security issues and fix them
  • Watch for threats and respond to incidents
  • Write scripts to automate security tasks
  • Help with audits and show proof of security controls
  • Create reports on risks, incidents, and security status

Team

Work with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams. Talk to vendors when needed.

Decision Authority

Can make day-to-day security decisions. Escalates major issues to the Information Security Manager.

Requirements

  • Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years in cybersecurity or infrastructure security
  • Experience with firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and cloud security tools
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux, AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Certifications like Azure Security Engineer or GIAC are a plus
