JOB SUMMARY

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for analyzing project drawings and specifications to derive quantities for quantity takeoff, calculating quantities based on approved plans and actual progress for billing claims, and preparing detailed reports. The Quantity Surveyor collaborates closely with the Project Manager within the PMO of TIHGI's Corporate Strategy Office, evaluating contractors' Bill of Quantities and assisting in contract administration and resolving construction-related disputes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze the drawings, plans and specifications for the project in preparation for quantity derivation and quantity takeoff
  • Calculate the quantity with reference to approved drawings, plans and specifications for the projects
  • Calculate the quantity with reference to actual project progress, in aid of identification of project progress for billing claims verification
  • Prepare reports to clearly show the derivation of quantities per project as per plan versus actual progress on site
  • Evaluate Bill of Quantities submission of contractors of the project with reference to derived quantification from drawings, plans and specifications
  • Work closely and assist the Project Manager under the Project
  • Management Office (PMO) of the Corporate Strategy Office of TIHGI
  • Assist the Project Manager of TIHGI and Contracts & Procurement personnel in contract administration and settlement of construction disputes within the project

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer, Construction Management, or other related fields
  • Has at least three (2) years of related work experience
  • Must be licensed quantity surveyor
  • Demonstrates extensive expertise in utilizing AutoCAD and Planswift for precise design and project estimation
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications and Google Workspace
  • Has excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and quality of work
  • Organized in handling assigned tasks and reports and able to manage multiple projects
