Job Qualifications:

  1. Has NCII certificate2.

  2. At least 2 years experience at Boom Operator,

  3. At least high school graduate.

  4. Conducts a thorough check of the equipment before and after operation on a daily basis.

  5. Checks all safety devices and hoisting cables of the crane and reports abnormalities or the need for replacement.
  6. Checks all shackles, sling belts and cables regularly before operations and immediately report to superior for observed damages or wear and tear.
  7. Secures lifting permit before operation.
  8. Properly assembles crane boom and accessories based on the job requirement.
  9. Performs lifting and transferring of various types of load using the equipment as required by project operations.
  10. Accounts delivered items coming from central warehouse to project site, vice versa.
  11. Ensures that the equipment is operated within the limits of its specifications as indicated on the equipment manual.
  12. Ensures that the equipment is positioned and set-up properly before proceeding with lifting and transferring of loads.
  13. As a safety measure, operates the equipment only when a rigger is providing support.
  14. Ensures that the equipment is properly parked and shut-off on the designated location after operation.
  15. Ensures the cleanliness of the interior, exterior and accessories of the equipment is maintained at all times.
  16. Assists in the basic preventive maintenance of the equipment.
  17. Monitors SMR of equipment and gives feedback to the immediate superior for the next PMS schedule.
  18. Reports any findings during checking or operating the equipment to the immediate superior for proper action.
  19. Follows traffic rules when driving along roads.
  20. Follows established safety guidelines, procedures and safe equipment operation practices.
  21. Performs other related job/duties as may be assigned by the superior from time to time.
