STI College Marikina is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Tourism Faculty Member to join our dynamic academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students in developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for success in the tourism and hospitality industry. The faculty member will strictly follow the course outline provided by STI Head Office (HO) to ensure alignment with institutional and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective classroom and laboratory instruction based on the official STI HO course outline and materials.
  • Facilitate interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and practical exercises to enhance student learning and industry readiness.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through examinations, projects, and other academic requirements in accordance with STI standards.
  • Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students to foster both professional and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other academic data.
  • Participate in academic meetings, faculty development programs, and institutional activities.
  • Stay updated on tourism industry trends, practices, and technologies to integrate relevant knowledge into lessons.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Relevant industry experience in tourism, travel, or hospitality is an advantage.
  • Teaching experience in higher education is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage students through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Commitment to STI's vision, mission, and core values.
