The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for supervising and overseeing daily accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments while maintaining compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable tax regulations. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can lead a team, streamline processes, and support the finance department in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency.

  • Supervise day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, disbursements, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all payment transactions with company policies and government regulations.
  • Review and verify journal entries, account coding, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate aging reports and manage timely payments to vendors.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts payable and other assigned areas.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for the accounting team.
  • Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
  • CPA license is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, Philippine taxation, and BIR regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
