Key responsibilities include managing records, coordinating logistics, taking orders, and performing data entry, all while requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with computer applications like Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities

  • Verifying deliveries and shipments: Checking incoming and outgoing goods against order slips or manifests to ensure accuracy.
  • Inventory management: Conducting physical inventory counts, maintaining accurate stock records, and helping to manage stock levels.
  • Order processing: Taking orders from customers or internal staff, sometimes via phone, and encoding sales.
  • Quality control: Inspecting materials or products to ensure they meet required standards and characteristics before they are processed or shipped.
  • Logistics and coordination: Managing the loading of delivery trucks and coordinating with other staff or departments.
  • Administrative support: Performing general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and maintaining records.
  • Data entry: Encoding sales or other data into a computer system.
  • Supply management: Monitoring office or warehouse supplies and placing orders when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Education: At least a high school diploma or senior high school graduate is often required. A college degree, especially in accounting or a computer-related course, may be needed for more advanced roles.
  • Skills:
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel being a key requirement.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work diligently and accurately.
  • Experience: Prior administrative or clerical experience can be helpful. For warehouse roles, experience with inventory and deliveries is valuable.
  • Other attributes: Reliability, willingness to learn, and being detail-oriented are highly valued.
