Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and meticulous Deputy Unit Head for Loans Management to reinforce our client's retail lending operations. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in loan processing, administration, and lifecycle management within a retail banking framework, coupled with strong proficiency in the Temenos core banking system. This position will support the Unit Head in managing the full spectrum of loan operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and superior service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Unit Head in the daily oversight of loan operations, encompassing booking, disbursement, monitoring, and settlements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of loan data within the Temenos system.

  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of lending policies, operational procedures, and risk mitigation controls.

  • Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to strategies aimed at minimizing Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).

  • Liaise cross-functionally with credit, collections, compliance, and IT teams to address and resolve loan-related issues.

  • Lead or contribute to system upgrade initiatives, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Temenos modules.

  • Produce regular and on-demand reports, analytics, and dashboards for senior management to support strategic decision-making.

  • Mentor and train junior team members on operational standards and system utilization.

  • Act as interim Unit Head during periods of absence, ensuring seamless continuity of leadership and operational integrity.
