Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Accounting Manager located in Makati and will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain complete and systematic records of all tax-related transactions of the Branch in accordance with BIR regulations.
  • Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of all BIR tax returns and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with the NIRC, BIR Revenue Regulations, Revenue Memorandum Circulars, and other issuances.
  • Manage and oversee BIR audits, tax investigations, assessments, and tax mapping activities.
  • Act as the primary point person during BIR audits, including LOA examinations and post-audit cases.
  • Prepare and submit required audit documents and respond to BIR findings, PANs, FANs, and FLDs.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulators on tax matters.
  • Prepare tax strategies and conduct tax health checks to identify and mitigate tax risks.
  • Ensure compliance with withholding tax, corporate income tax, VAT/percentage tax, DST, FBT, and other applicable taxes.
  • Oversee registration and compliance related to the Computerized Accounting System (CAS).

Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in banking or financial institutions
  • Strong working knowledge in Philippine tax laws and BIR audit processes
  • Experience handling BIR audits and tax assessments
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work with regulators
