Job Summary:

The Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials, or vehicles to assigned destinations in a timely manner. The role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and delivery schedules while ensuring proper handling and maintenance of the assigned truck.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate company trucks (light, medium, or heavy-duty) to transport goods, equipment, or vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and delivered without damage.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery receipts, and fuel consumption reports.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery instructions.
  • Perform basic truck maintenance (checking oil, water, tires, etc.) and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Assist in loading/unloading when necessary.
  • Respond promptly to road incidents, breakdowns, or emergencies.

Qualifications:
  • At least High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid professional driver's license (with appropriate restriction codes for truck category).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Truck Driver (experience in logistics, distribution, or automotive industry preferred).
  • Familiarity with road networks and routes (local or long-haul, depending on assignment).
  • Physically fit and capable of handling cargo when needed.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to safety.

  • Excellent driving and defensive driving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle stress and long driving hours.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
