Network and Cloud Security Engineer

This position will report to the Lead Network Security Engineer. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure for both traditional networks and cloud environments. Duties encompass ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, as well as protecting systems from various cyber threats.

Cloud Firewall Support Engineer with strong Level expertise in managing FortiGate Firewall,

Wireless, Cisco Switch management and VPN configuration.

Designing and implementing cloud security controls for networks and cloud platforms, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.

Building and deploying security tools and services, such as SIEM systems, anti-malware tools, and cloud security platforms.

Implementing encryption and data loss prevention measures to protect sensitive data.

Monitoring cloud environments for security incidents and vulnerabilities.

Responding to security incidents, including incident response, threat hunting, and incident Root Cause Analysis investigation.

Developing and maintaining incident response plans and procedures.

Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks.

Implementing and managing vulnerability management programs.

Collaborating with other teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.

Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS and other compliance requirements.

Participating in security audits and assessments.

Maintaining documentation and records related to security policies and procedures.

Working with other teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Keeping up with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.

Providing technical expertise and guidance on security matters.

Collaborating with other security professionals and experts.

Conducting Security Awareness training program for staff

Creating network blueprints, selecting hardware and software, and configuring network

components like routers, switches, and firewalls.

Monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving issues, and performing routine

maintenance and upgrades.

Implementing security measures to protect the network and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Ensuring network performance meets the needs of users, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and

optimizing network configurations.

Creating and maintaining network documentation, generating reports on network performance, and providing status updates to stakeholders.

Working with other IT professionals, vendors, and users to address network needs and resolve issues.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information systems or at least 6-10 years of experience within similar role

Strong hands-om knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing and

switching, firewalls, wireless technologies, and network security.

Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.

Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.

Hands-on experience with network security systems such as FortiClient Firewall, Cisco Switching, Zscaler, Okta, CyberArk, Cisco Duo MFA, WAF, cloud security, SIEM and relevant security technologies.

Proficiency in managing Azure cloud security, scripting, programming, and automation.

Amenable to work on a hybrid work set-up (night shift).

Pay: Php150, Php180,000.00 per month
