Cloud & Network Systems Administrator – 100% Remote

We are looking for an experienced Cloud & Network Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize mission-critical cloud infrastructure and remote desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in AWS, network security, and system administration, ensuring stability, uptime, and data protection across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

  • Manage and optimize AWS environments (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM)
  • Implement monitoring, logging, cost optimization, and automation tools
  • Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure scalability

Network & Security Administration

  • Design and maintain VPNs, firewalls, VPC configurations, and security groups
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and manage patching and compliance
  • Maintain SSL certificates, encryption standards, DNS protocols, and email security
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 27001 and GDPR

Remote Desktop & Systems Administration

  • Manage remote desktop environments for distributed teams
  • Support users with system access, connectivity, and performance issues
  • Manage backups, OS updates, and endpoint security controls

DevOps & Automation

  • Create CI/CD workflows for deployment
  • Write scripts for monitoring, reporting, and routine maintenance
  • Integrate platforms and tools using APIs and automation platforms

Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Track uptime, performance, and system logs to detect and resolve issues early
  • Respond to outages and security events with proper documentation and analysis
  • Work with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement improvements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cloud Computing, Network Security, or related field
  • 5+ years in cloud management, systems administration, or network operations
  • Advanced experience with AWS (certification preferred)
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, encryption, VPNs, and access management
  • Skilled in DNS, SSL, remote systems, and enterprise security practices
  • Experience administering Office 365 environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred
  • Familiarity with Azure, Cloudflare, or hybrid cloud setups
  • Python or PowerShell scripting experience
  • Experience integrating systems through API connections
  • Background in managing hosting, DNS, certificates, and backups
Role Details
  • Full-time, remote position
  • Up to $10/hr
