Data Protection Officer

Setting the standard for data safety

Responsibilities:

  • Audit & Risk - Lead the execution of regular privacy audits, maintain the organization's risk register with timely integration of DPO issues, and oversee third-party privacy risk management by ensuring vendor contracts include appropriate compliance and risk assessment clauses. Timely third-party risk privacy assessment for regulatory filings and notifications.
  • Incident & Regulatory Response - Monitor, log, and respond to data incidents in compliance with regulatory timelines, manage data subject rights requests in accordance with legal requirements, and ensure all regulatory filings and notifications are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Governance & Policy Oversight - Advise on and maintain up-to-date privacy policies through annual reviews, and ensure all third-party agreements include enforceable privacy and compliance obligations aligned with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree holder of business-related course
  • Candidates should have a strong grasp of the Data Privacy Act and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Formal training or certification in data protection is preferred, along with knowledge of security practices like encryption and risk assessment.
  • Understanding internal processes and IT systems is an advantage
  • Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and ethical judgment with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and driving data protection compliance.
