A Subject Matter Expert is responsible for providing specialized knowledge and expertise in a specific domain to support business operations, training, product development, and problem-solving. SMEs ensure accuracy, efficiency, and best practices in their area of expertise while collaborating with various teams, including training, quality assurance, and operations.

Relevant Experience

● At least 1 year related experience in a BPO or Insurance experience.

● Previous experience as an SME, trainer, or consultant is a plus.

● Experience in process improvement, quality assurance, or operational efficiency.

● Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.

Description of Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Expertise & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide in-depth knowledge and insights in Personal and Commercial Line of Insurance (Claims, Invoice, Quoting, Servicing tasks etc).
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and evolving standards.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of processes, policies, and guidelines.

Training & Mentorship

  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops for employees.
  • Develop instructional materials, FAQs, and training modules.
  • Act as a mentor for team members, helping them understand complex concepts.

Process Improvement & Quality Assurance

  • Review and analyze workflows, procedures, and systems to identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with different departments (e.g., operations, product development, customer support).
  • Provide guidance in the implementation of new policies and technologies.
  • Support management by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and SOPs.
  • Prepare reports on performance metrics, trends, and improvements.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer across teams by documenting processes clearly.

Skills Requirements

● Extensive knowledge and experience in the specific subject matter.

● Excellent written, verbal communication skills and presentation abilities.

● Well versed with B2B back office Insurance
