INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

SHIFT: NIGHT / GRAVEYARD PHT

TYPE: FULL TIME; INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The International Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the routing and booking of International freight to include both Import and Exports. The Specialist will be responsible for all customs documents, filing of all government documents on time, to track and trace all aspects of the international move. This position will also support and guide the customer/agent/stations on the requirements for their shipment, track and trace all shipments and to complete all steps necessary to invoice the customer in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Route and quote all requests for freight movements.
  • Book and document all steps of freight movement. Communicate with Air/Ocean/Rail/Truck/Itl/Small package carriers.
  • Stay compliant in training and knowledge of all government agencies affiliated with Import/ Export , compliance, regulatory, Hazmat, FMC, IAC, TSA, DOT, and all other agency requirement as needed.
  • Create and monitor invoicing of customers/agents/customs brokers to stay in compliance of regulations.
  • Support and educate stations/clients/ agents/ sales on the international process.
  • Track and Trace all steps of freight move communicating with the customer/station/agent.
  • Research/Audit prospective carrier/agents/brokers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred)

Experience:

  • International Supply Chain Experience preferred
  • Knowledge with ISF and AES classifications and INCOTERMS preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to multi-task and be able to provide solutions to problems quickly.
  • Preferred Spanish/English bilingual (speaking, reading and writing).
  • Strong math skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Internet Connection: Minimum of 30 Mbps wired internet connection, plus a backup internet connection.

  • Computer/Laptop: Personal computer with updated software and dual monitors.

  • Headset: Noise-canceling headset (Plantronics or Jabra preferred).

  • Home Office: Dedicated, quiet workspace free from distractions.

  • Monitoring Software: Willingness to use monitoring software for payroll and timekeeping purposes only.

Webcam: Working webcam for meetings and collaboration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php47,000.00 per month
