Position: PR Assistant

Work Set Up: 100% Remote

About the Role

The PR Assistant will lead local pitch strategy across client's priority markets. This will include localizing content themes and ideas, leveraging media database and research tools for distribution and coordinating resulting media requests. Reporting into the VP of PR & Communications, the PR Assistant will also be responsible for responding to inbound media inquiries, coverage monitoring and reporting as well as ad hoc copy requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Localize and distribute media pitches
  • Keep on top of local news and trends for potential pitch angles
  • Work with clinicians on interview scheduling
  • Prepare media briefing notes
  • Respond to inbound media inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Write copy for social media posts amplifying coverage
  • Compile media updates for internal channels
  • Develop and execute local link-building strategies
  • Maintain clients and competitor coverage reports weekly
  • Monitor competitor and industry intel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Someone who has up to 2-5 years PR experience
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Continual learner to keep up with PR and behavioral health industry trends
  • Interest in and passion for the mental health industry
  • Competent with Google docs, sheets and slides
