About the role

This Bank Compliance Associate role at WELCOME BANK (RURAL BANK), INC. offers a fantastic opportunity to join our thriving financial institution. In this full-time position based in Pasig City, Metro Manila, you will be responsible for conducting compliance testing and disseminating information related to BSP, AML/CTF, and other regulatory issuances within the Compliance Section.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the bank's operations adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies

What you'll be doing as an Audit / Compliance


• Develops and conduct periodic compliance testing and examination of Branches, Branch-lite Units and Head Office Units or Departments to ensure compliance with the BSP and other regulatory bodies' requirements and prepares compliance testing reports;


• Proposed and recommend corrective measures to enhance the bank operations based on the identified compliance issues and deficiencies;


• Monitors compliance issues by performing follow ups on the implementation status and update compliance monitoring report;


• Monitors the alignment of internal policies of the bank with the rules and regulations of the BSP, SEC, PDIC, AMLC and other regulatory bodies;


• Assist in the documentation of the operational guidelines and procedural policies;


• Maintain files of banking laws, regulations, regulatory issuances (BSP circulars/letters/memos), etc. and updates them to serve as a Compliance library.

What we're looking for


• At least 1-2 years of financial services or banking experience in corporate governance, compliance and risk management role, knowledgeable of the BSP regulations and other laws.


• Strong understanding of audit principles, methodologies, and compliance requirements.


• Proficiency in data analysis, risk assessment, and report writing.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
