About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Budget Analyst to join our Finance Department. This role is key to maintaining financial integrity, supporting budget development, and ensuring accurate reporting that drives informed decision-making. You'll handle both hands-on accounting tasks and strategic financial analysis, making this an exciting opportunity for someone detail-oriented and analytical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and expenditures; prepare variance reports.
  • Support forecasting, trend analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Perform accounting entries, manage the general ledger, and reconcile accounts.
  • Oversee accounts payable, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
  • Maintain financial systems (QuickBooks Online required; Excel reporting tools).
  • Support audits, grant reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with leadership and departments to align financial practices with goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience (nonprofit/healthcare preferred).
  • Advanced QuickBooks Online and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain financial data to non-finance teams.
